Here are the rules to getting along like nice boys and girls!
1) Lack of Drama
This seems to be a major group killer. Any attempt to stir up drama between players will be nixed immediately by the mods. If one or more players have an issue with another player these concerns need to be brough to the attention of the Mods quickly, quietly and calmly. We (Toby and Linna) will try to address this problem as neutrally as possible. This is a place to have fun and be creative, this is not high school.
2) Creativity
Ideas are to be heard and considered by everyone with respect. We have very few in-game boundaries and encourage new ideas. We want to hear everything you come up with! Nothing will be laughed at or called ridiculous. Even if it is far fetched, but you are really serious about the idea we will find a way to make it work somehow. The same goes for the posting and sharing of art, poems, anything you hearts and minds come up with for your characters and the game! Please share with us, it enhances the whole experience!
Brainstorming is almost a must, please do not just write major game-changing plots between characters without first sitting down to plan said plots with the other player(s). While this is a game, and based on creative writing, it is still a story and stories need to be thought out. Not to mention it is common courtesy. Also, no idea stealing unless said ideas are discussed first. Creative-sniping is a crime and will be punished.
3) Discussions
As stated above ideas are to be received and considered politely and fairly. If a discussion opens up about certain things, these discussions are to be handled maturely. No mud-slinging, name calling, mocking, or lynchings. If a final decision is to come down to a vote, so be it. But the vote is final. This is a democracy, not a monarchy, and it will behave as such. Our aim is to keep this a pleasant, friendly atmosphere. We will do our best to uphold that idea, we ask that you do the same.
4) Warnings
Three warnings. These warnings will be private and not announced to the board. Your third warning will result with expulsion from the game. Please... do not make us do this. We don't wish to lose anyone.
5) Posting
Posts should be well thought out, spell checked and edited for grammar. We're not huge sticklers for this (especially since Linna can't spell worth a damn!) but at least make an effort. ^_^ Solo posts for plot/character development is welcomed. IM RP-ing is encouraged and can be posted if players feel that said interaction fits into the story or enhances development and interaction between the characters.
6) Help!
Do not hesitate to ask for help, ask for clarification, or just ask things in general! The Mods are here to guide, and we LOVE to help! (Your ideas will stay confidential, though if someone is working on something similar we may suggest the lot of you get together and toss ideas.) Toby and Linna can be PM'ed, sometimes IM'ed and always e-mailed. Though we are busy Mods, we will do our best to get back to you. But don't forget to ask each other for help, great ideas come from a little bit of communication!
