The Person-
Name: Aurora Kiyomi (meaning: dawn of pure beauty)
Nicknames: Any variant of Aurora, including Aure(a), Aurore, Rory, etc.
Birth date: August 4th
Age: 17
Personality: At first glance, Aurora is a quite, watchful teenager. Though she is street- and circus- smart, she has not had the occasion to faithfully evolve through normal schooling. As such, her educational level is low, though this does not hinder her from being curious and eager to learn. Despite such curiosity, Aurore is afraid of becoming too attached to people due to her fear of abandonment. She silently frets over the fact that because she was forsaken by her birth parents, she is easy to reject and apt to being cold-shouldered and turned against by anyone. She does a pretty good job of hiding such personal worries, Aurora simply quick to wave off and ditch situations where she does not feel comfortable or where she suspects she will get hurt. Other times, she may just adopt a shy but attentive composure (mainly if her curiosity is high or if she feels she can learn something). That paired with her tendency to leave situations she is weary of sometimes makes her come across as a bit aloof to others. Rory is really just a very independent, strong-willed, spontaneous and fiery teenager who prefers to take care of herself rather than be disappointed by others. Once she has an objective in mind and figures out what she wants for herself, Rory will put all her energy, ambition and creativeness into getting it (this accounts for her easily walking away from situations she doesn’t like, and thus all the times she has run away). Aurore is at her best when performing; she is most extrovert, self-confident, positive and self-controlled when on stage. She adores the physical exertion, the energy-rush from the audience, the dominance over the stage and the attention received. This is the one place in the entire world where she is sure she is not to be rejected; the entire circus crew works hard and trains so as to always, always, always please their spectators.
Self Perception: Aurora knows she is ‘not your average girl’, and as a result can be really self-conscious (thus observant of her surroundings). She just tries to get through each day as best as possible, and for right now has found a stable setting with the Spade Phantasy. She nevertheless has a lot to be proud of: her independent nature, her different experiences with so many foster families, her uniqueness, her circus talents and act and all the places she has been to thanks to traveling on the Spade.
Mannerisms: When speaking, Aurora always tries to use new words she’s heard used, but she unfortunately can get some of the longer, more complicated ones mixed up without realizing it. Otherwise, she has a simplistic way of speaking and uses a lot of onomatopoeias (ugh, er, mm, etc.) Non-verbal communication also is a good indicator of how she feels.
Pet Peeves: People knocking into her because they aren’t fully away of her presence (due to her height, yes), people not believing her age (she REALLY is 17 years old!)
Hobbies: Exploring the new docking ports each time the Spade Phantasy makes to land. Buying books and doing her best to raise her reading and vocabulary level. She still personally enjoys being with the animals on the ship, and so she still continues to clean their cages, groom them, feed them, etc. Scaling tall objects (she loves the masts of the ship).
Habits: Sleeping in the crow's nest on warm/hot nights in order to gaze up at the moon and stars. Also, Aurora has made it a nearly unconscious goal to steal at least one item from each city visited.
Family: Biologically N/A, but she is happy with the family ~she~ has adopted on the Spade Phantasy. A few special people are to be noted:
Captain Astraeus – his age is unknown though it is rumored that Astraeus is as old as the sea, or so it seems like it with all the traveling he has done and the knowledge he has acquired. Large and imposing to those who don’t know him, the Captain is essentially a teddy-bear of a man with his crew. He always gets what he wants when docking up to a new port, the safety and well being of the ship and crew alike his utmost priority. Intelligent, sly, observant and Master of the ship, Astraeus knows the globe like the back of his hand, having sailed the 7 seas ever since he can remember. No one on board really knows where he comes from, but everyone is secure in the fact that they are well taken care of. Having proven what he is worth time and time again, all the crew would sail through Hell’s fire if the Cap’ said to. For all the crew, home is where the Capt’n and his Ladies (Rosalinda and the Spade) are.
Rosalinda – As Captain Astraeus’ wife, Rosalinda is the ‘leading lady’ of the ship and more like a mother than anything to the crew. She is a boisterous albeit graceful woman who is full of generosity and kindness. Thick-boned and voluptuous, she appears to be a very fashionable and ‘well-kept’ 50 year-old woman but, much like her husband, her age is unknown. It is said that they have been together as long as the Cap has been sailing the 7 seas – and Rosalinda is considered the ‘eighth’ sea because Astraeus loves her just as much as, and maybe even more than, the seas he sails. She can be usually found in the kitchen, though decisions as to where the Spade docks are always made together with her husband (even if the crew is not necessarily aware of how vital a role Rosalinda plays). Much like her husband, the couple has solid knowledge and talent in circus affaires and sailing.
Alizé – 18 years of age and known as ‘Trade Wind’ while on stage, she is one of the three ‘cherubs’ that perform together. On stage, she works with knife throwing and animal taming. She is the tallest out of the trio, standing at 5'7", and definitely the most femininely developed. She has large plush breasts, a good set of hips and an even better pair of buns. She is voluminous yet nicely toned with lean muscles, which helps give her a feminine appeal while keeping her from looking chunky or overweight. Her collar-bone length red hair is usually pulled up into a half-pony tail, with her side bangs either pined back or falling to her left. A pair of golden-brown eyes outsets her hair and naturally lightly 'tanned' skin tone. Her style of clothing is mostly conservative, due to her already eye-catching form, but Alizé can be seen wearing most anything. However, she usually prefers a pair of jeans or baggy-like pants when not performing. Though her style is similar to Elina's, she is definitely more glamorous than her younger 'sister'.
Elina – 16 years of age and known as ‘Torch Light’ while on stage, she is equally one of the three ‘cherubs’. On stage, she assures a 'Fire and Glow' act and a balancing act. At 5'5", Elina has a slender frame with nice developing curves. She has deep blue eyes and matching brilliant blue locks that fall down to the end of her shoulder-blades. A set of bangs helps to frame her face of naturally wavy hair that she usually wears down when not performing. Due to the fact she usually 'plays' with fire while on stage, her blue locks are always done-up in some sort of fancy up-do with hair-decorations that help catch the light from the flames she works with. As for clothing, she favors colors that help set-off her dominant blue hair, thus everything that is black, gray, and white. Nothing prevents her, however, from wearing all the other colors of the rainbow. She likes mixing and matching and usually wears layers. Her style, however, is more-so 'tomboyish', Elina favoring baggy, comfortable pants - she is usually never caught wearing anything tight below the waist, and very rarely anything skirt or dress-like. Above the waist, however, she does not mind tight-fitting clothing that show off her curves. Accessory wise, she favors bracelets.
Residence: the “Spade Phantasy”, the circus sailing ship. Counts about a 100 members of various ages, various skills and various educated levels.
Occupation: circus member of the Spade Phantasy, performer in the “Tender, Lovin' Cherubs” act along with Alizé and Elina, commonly refered to as the "TLC Trio". On stage, Aurea is known as ‘Golden Breath’.
Social Status: When docking in a new port, Aurore has no personal social status to speak of. Though the Spade Phantasy and its Captain might be known of through rumor, (following their mostly-liked performances) Aurora is essentially meshed in with such ‘notoriety’, along with all the other members. Rumors could detail anything from the impressive-looking, nomadic circus ship to the crazy shows assured on-board.
Income: food, shelter and traveling rights with the Spade. She has whatever the Spade has + whatever she steals.
Established Connections: N/A
Talents: acrobatics, good sense of direction, swimming (as a result of being on a ship, naturally), scaling any kinds of tall objects
Strengths: good balance, great physical condition & endurance, little body that is great for slipping/sneaking around with ease, learns rapidly, pretty easy-going, a seemingly inexhaustible amount of energy, lots of motivation to learn all that she can and perfection her circus talents, is essentially optimistic about life, generous when performing and with people she loves and appreciates, her natural beauty and innocent flare, easily adapts to the different kinds of situations she finds herself in.
Weaknesses: fear of abandonment, her literary level (reading, writing, vocabulary) is lower than that of a 17 year old, her aloof and sometimes guarded nature (gives wrong impressions, sometimes causes her to miss out on partaking in interesting occasions and/or meeting interesting people), her self-consciousness can sometimes be crippling for her, her height and innocent features cause people to constantly think she is much younger than her real age.
Appearance-
Height: 4'10”
Weight: 100 lbs (all muscle)
Hair & Eyes: She has periwinkle-colored locks that fall to the top of her shoulders and a neat set of bangs that she does pretty much anything she wants with. Her hairstyle is rather easy to work with, Aurora leaving her locks either straight with their soft, natural curls, throwing them up in clips or ponytails or pigtails, or just messing them up for a flattering ‘mussed’ look. Finally, royal purple hues set off her lighter locks.
Body Type: Unusually small, Aurora is nevertheless lean and fit. She is all the more sculpted due to her circus days and has some nicely developing curves to her figure.
Dress Style: Considering she her ‘nomadic’ lifestyle, Aurea basically wears whatever she can get her hands on and sticks to the garments she has in her possession as long as their 'lifespan' determines. Oddly enough, despite all her country-crossing between orphanages and foster families and nature-roaming, Aurea takes extremely good care of her possessions and is extremely careful with every move she makes, making it so that her clothes usually stay in wondrous conditions for unusually long periods of time. While all the children had basic, drab and bland clothes in the orphanages, she usually was given clothing gifts by her various foster families. Picking and taking what she liked, Aurore would always runaway with her choice pieces. However, when a piece of her 'wardrobe' is put to the grave, she more often than not steals from the environment around her, be it a clothes line or an unlocked house. However, since she has been with the Spade Phantasy, she has been well taken care of and clothing has been given to her by way of gift. She still has that odd little tick of stealing because it helps reaffirm her independent spirit (and Aure secretly likes the rush of it).
Noticeable Scars or Marks: She has a pretty pristine body. However, once awakened, her glyphs (see ‘symbol’ in the ‘Solider’ section of the profile) will be noticeable, as described, at all times.
General Description:
Character-
Biography: Abandoned at birth in Canberra, Australia, Aurora lived a tumultuous childhood of skipping between orphanages, foster families and the streets. All she knows of her birth parents are their names, origins and a brief background to her abandonment.
Her mother, Cyrah, and her father, Ishaan, both come from the Sun. Apparently young, (around 17 and 18 years of age) the newly wed Kiyomi couple had eloped to Earth in-order to hide their very real pregnancy from both sides of the family. Mission accomplished, because with the deposal of Aurora in the orphanage, the nevertheless heartbroken couple made the return trip to their home, not a word more ever heard of Cyrah and Ishaan Kiyomi.
Fiery and independent, Aurora has never been able to let go of her birth name, Aurora Kiyomi. It is the only link she has to ‘who she is’, and thus has had a hard time merging into foster families. Her abandonment is a touchy issue with her, Aurore all at once afraid of getting too close to people for fear of being let down, rejected and cast aside (a bit like her birth parents). Paired to such a fear, she has taken on an independent, courageous, strong-willed personality to take care of things on her own terms. Numerous times ever since a very young age (around 7 years old), Aurore has taken to running away from the orphanages and foster families she has found herself in. Due to her light purple locks, brilliant purple eyes and deeply ‘tanned’ skin that has an unnatural golden shine to it, she stands out and has acquired unflattering nicknames from teasing children around her : cotton-candy head, sun urchin (a play on words from purple sea urchins), and jelly-jam face (jelly-jam for short).
Though she has crossed paths with loving, willing foster parents, Aurore cannot stand the idea of being chosen from a plethora of orphans by foster parents who know nothing about her yet want to take her into their home. Though she has tried numerous times to be a ‘good foster daughter’, her rebellious gut-instinct has always led to her runaways.
Making her way on the streets and in the wild has never been an issue for Aure, the child fascinated by nature, small and thus capable of going about mostly unseen (which works in favor of stealing and stowing away in barns and cabins and cars and the like), and is naturally defensive and defiant (thus usually decides to flee rather than fight!). Though she has encountered hardships and skirmishes, she has always been caught, one way or another, and plopped back into an orphanage of some sort. As a result, she has never remained more than 3 months at a time on the streets. Numerous times, though, she has been sent to different orphanages and foster families all along the east cost of Australia.
On a particular day in Brisbane, at 14 years of age, Aurore and her at-the-moment foster parents had taken her out for a stroll in the city and a circus performance from an over-the-seas circus team that sailed from port to port by ship. Immediately captivated and awed by the spectacle, Aurora had the spontaneous impulsion to go join the Spade Phantasy circus crew. In a convenient hoard of exiting people at the end of the show, Aurea cleverly slipped away from her foster parents and some how managed her way upon the ship as a stowaway.
“Where do you come from? Who do you belong to?”
“I come from no where and everywhere at the same time! I belong to nothing yet to everything all at once!” Aurora courageously bellowed back to the large, imposing captain once she had been found.
Such conversation did not last long, punishment inflicted by the Captain on the stowaway - Aure was stripped of everything she had (which was little), scrubbed clean and dressed up as a clown, literally, before condemned to be cage-cleaner. Mistrust heightened, anger bubbling but being reduced and forced to obey, Aurea passively and spitefully assumed the task given to her. Eventually, though, the situation turned into a sort-of blessing for the adolescent. Far from intimidated by the animals for whom she cleaned cages, she naturally warmed up to their docile nature and, in the end, was far from disturbed by the arrangement. Though she was once a week ‘brutally’ stripped, washed and repainted/dressed-up as a clown (each time different and increasingly wild than the last), she eventually accepted such a treatment, due to the fact she was ~at least~ fed and sheltered in return. But no lasting upset or hatred endured for either sides, Aurora eventually accepted as 'one of their own' by the circus crew.
Considering her behavior with the animals (monkeys, birds, horses, snakes, and tigers) and non-existent fear of heights, Aurea rapidly fit in with the animal tamers and acrobats, serving as prop-girl in addition to assuring her cage-cleaner role along the Spade Phantasy's journey, continually earning her way to food and shelter (upgraded from bread and water to pasta, fruits and milk). After six months of regular observation, she knew by heart the different types of circus arts, being of service whenever demanded and acting as assistant, eventually gaining certain types of skills (small magic arts, balancing talents, basic juggling feats, tight-rope walking...etc). With consistent observation and night-time practices, it took Aurea two more years to finally merit her own act, that of Acrobatic Stunts and Ariel Ballet. However, she now takes part in a spectacle newly compiled together in which she shares the stage and succession of acts with her partners in the "Tender, Lovin' Cherubs" act.
Education: Due to her tumultuous childhood, Aurora never had the privilege of following a steady, educational rhythm. She knows how to read and write, but her level is not that of a 17 year old. She does not have a wide vocabulary and thus is apt to confuse and mix-up words despite her motivation to learn. On the Spade, basic classes are assured for all those who wish to follow, (reading & writing, history of Earth and the Sol System, basic math, and sciences pertaining to the land and seas).
Beliefs: Essentially N/A. She has never been taught or has learned of any spiritual directions, but she does have a high respect for Mother Nature and her creatures.
Goals: Aurora aspires to live her life to the fullest without ever questioning the past or having regrets. Education-wise, she loves to learn and has a dream of going to school.
Favorite Food: roasted rainbow trout with grilled peppers, mushrooms and onions, rum (naturally ;3), open fire burnt marshmallows
Favorite Activity: scaling any and all tall objects, be it trees, ship masts, walls...etc. She also really loves to swim!
Favorite Memory: When she first met Rosalinda - after Aure had been first discovered, scrubbed clean, dressed up and 'thrown to the animals', Rosalinda had 'snuck' back to meet the stowaway face to face after her husband had recounted his discovery of Aure. Instead of being reprimanded, though, Rosalinda welcomed the girl with a large, warm, busty hug and talked with her for a full duration of cage-cleaning while advising Aurora on how to clean the animal cages without upsetting the animals. Aure felt more at home than she had ever felt in her entire life - Rosalinda really was a perfect mother figure.
Other~
Zodiac Sign: Leo
Theme Song When Performing On Stage: “Circus” by Britney Spears
The Senshi/Knight (if applicable)-
Identity: Priestess of Elysian
Element: Holy/Light (her power comes from prayer and the cleansing power of Elysian itself).
Gemstone: Golden Amber
Symbol: a Pegasus as shown below. After Aurora becomes first acquainted with her Priestess role, the outline of the Pegasus will appear upon her inner wrists (one for each wrist), both Pegasus’ facing her though one will be right side up (right wrist) and one will be upside down (left wrist). The outline will be a sort of golden, shinning lining, noticeable against her tanned skin. When she transforms and is in Priestess state, the symbols become infused with golden color and thus are more prominently seen.
Transformation Sequence (long): Aurora drops down to her right knee and presses her hands together, whispering a prayer 'into' her hands. Her once closed eyes reopen and her right hand moves up to her left temple before making a diagonal slashing motion that brings her hand down to her left and near to the ground. A shimmering stream of golden light is streaked in the air by such a motion. “Elysian Illumination!” is shouted and a burst of wind and light comes up in a circle around Aurora. Her normal dress is blown away in pieces from her form (like flower petals scattered in the wind) and, in a brilliant, shimmering flash that blinds all onlookers, her Priestess form is left in place.
Transformation Sequence (short): "Elysian - ILLUMINATE!" A burst of wind impales her form and her normal dress is blown away in pieces (like flower petals scattered in the wind). Her body is instantly adorned in her Priestess form while the pieces of her clothing glow golden and flutter to the ground.
Transformation Item: An uniquely shaped pendant composed of a cluster of golden amber gemstones lined in silver. Able to slip it on either a silver chain or a soft ribbon, Aurora is apt to wearing it either as a necklace, a bracelet or a hair ribbon. The pendant is shaped as follows:
Weapon (if applicable): N/A
Abilities/Attacks (in order of appearance):
Pegasus Form: is as natural and normal as her human form, thus, the transformation itself does not require any special amount of energy nor is energy-sapping in any shape or form. The transformation can be initiated at any instant when in Priestess form, with merely the inner desire/decision of Aurora. While in Pegasus form, she can :
- fly
- attack by way of her horn, either in the air or upon the ground, with a single form of attack : a large beam of blinding, burning, powerful holy light is shot at the target, of which the power and impact grows with her own evolution
- tackle, pound, crumple an enemy
- temporarily power-up an ally if/when called upon* power-up in the sense that for a one-time shot during battle, Pegasus will lend some of her power to a senshi for the duration of one attack, said attack now having double the power
- partially heal an ally if/when called up*
- carry up to 2 allies
* Once the senshi and knights are awakened and form an established team, a point in the arc will come when Aurora gives the entire team access to the "Promise Chime". As such, each senshi/knight will have the power to call upon the "Promise Chime" by silently summoning this item by inner will. The Promise Chime allows the Senshi/Knight holding it to pray and ring out for Pegasus. In either case, each prayer can only be used once per battle.
- To call upon Pegasus for a one-shot-attack power-up, "Prayer for Tonic" is to be called out.
- To call upon Pegasus for healing, "Prayer for Recovery" is to be called.
Priestess Form:
1 *Flush of Light – a strong beam of light is launched at the target; probably something equivalent in effect and power of canon Venus’ Crescent Beam Smash.
2 *Burst of Light - Launches a volley of holy light at the target; probably something equivalent in effect and power of canon Venus’ Crescent Beam Showering.
3 *Caster’s Shield – concocts a shield of holy, protective forces; able to protect one other person at start and will max out at a total of five. The larger the shield, the more energy-sapping and penalizing it is for Aurora.
4 *Sparks and Storms – Aurora conjures up a ‘storm’ of sharp sparks that rains down on the enemy target's head.
5 *Holy Kindling – Aurora calls forth an orb of light that is launched upon the target and consumes it in holy ‘flames of light’.
6 *Purity Nova - Causes an explosion of holy light around Aurora, causing holy damage to all enemy targets within a radius of 10 yards while healing all allied members within the same radius of 10 yards. This strongly pulls on Aurora’s energy level and requires one full ‘recuperation’ post after the initial casting before she will begin re-harvesting power in order to cast new attacks.
7 * Golden Wish Salvation – An ability that is only used in the most dyer of conditions when a safe haven is absolutely needed for the Senshi and Knights. By being allowed to mix her own power with borrowed energies she harvests from Udara, Aurora is able to initiate a ‘grandiose’ teleportation of the Senshi and Knights to the Spiritual Lands of the Elysian Fields. Once in such a sacred place, her allies are thus allowed to recuperate, regroup and strategize before returning to the corporal world to continue the fight. Besides penalizing Udara for having contributed some of her energy to such an ability, Aurora will go into a deep state of sleep for a full seven days once she returns the Senshi and Knights to the surface of Earth.
Fuku-
Description: A red, tear-drop shaped bead appears in the middle of her forehead and a golden horn takes its rightful place upon the crown of her head. Silver hoop earrings with a dangling crystal a piece decorate her earlobes whereas her throat is adorned with two silver chokers, the second one holding her transformation item.
Her actual uniform is a cross between the Zodiac Knight Uniforms and the Priest Robes of canon Helios.
The upper half is in the same fashion as what Priest Helios is wearing in the picture below.
Imagine as though the upper half is form fitting and 'tucks into' the bottom half, of which starts from the belt and is in the same fashoin as the woman's Zodiac Knight Uniform.
Color Palette: White, Navy Blue and Sea Blue
Why did you choose this palette: White is a pure base that helps reinforce her Priestess form, the power of her prayers and the Holy/Light element she works with. The blues link her to the waters of Earth, the fact that Earth is nicknamed as the "Blue Planet", and the colors found in Earth's Uniform.
The Planet: Earth, the land of Elysian
This description does not deal with the planet Earth, itself. For such details, one must refer to the profile for the Senshi of Earth.
Legend of the Golden Kingdom (Myth):
It is said that the Golden Kingdom of Elysian still exists and that its keepers lay silently in wait for the day the Kingdom will be awakened and its golden people will once again tarry to and fro, busy in their lives of keeping peace and order on the third planet of Sol. It is said that the Priest/ess of Elysian is born once a generation, waiting secretly for the King to come. Sometimes they do not even know what it is that they are destined to protect, but you can always tell the Elysian Priests by their kind hearts, warm beings, and golden souls.
It is said that Elysian was once a kingdom of Health, Purity and Guidance, a mirror and complement to the Silver Millennium with its Temple of Promise as the central place of worship and blessing. Once upon a time, the two kingdoms existed upon the same plane, working together in tandem to keep peace and love alive in the System of Sol, and to fill its people with understanding, compassion and inner beauty.
It is said that Elysium was razed to the ground with the fall of the Silver Moon Kingdom. As the people of Earth burned, their bodies lay slain upon the rolling hillside unable to fight to defend themselves, news of the Earthen Prince's fall reached the ears of the Priest within the golden walls of the kingdom. There was no one left to protect the Earth, and the peace that lasted a thousand years under the rule of Serenity was shattered by a blackened greed so great that no love or kindness, or weapon of light, could stand up to it. With the war now upon their door, there was only one thing left to do as the ground shook beneath their feet.
Hide the city.
The magic that was once conjured so long ago is so ancient that Time has forgotten their birth took the lives of these golden people. A sacrifice so great and so desperate, but so worth the cost to keep the kingdom out of the grasp of such a wicked, wicked hate. Any scientist will tell you the theory of parallel universes, of dimensions and realms, but they have yet to prove it. Perhaps the kingdom lives upon another plane of existence where the vibrations of protons and electrons are different and out of phase with our own; hidden in plain sight though we are unable to see it. Hyperbola, maybe, where they would be safe among the Ethereal until it was time to return.
Perhaps, when the Golden Crystal is found and the song is sung to open the gates and the Keeper is found who knows the way to bring the Ruler home to their people, perhaps then the return of the kingdom shall come. Perhaps that is when the corporeal will walk the gardens to the other side and lead the unseen home again. When the Night and the Day lay side by side, and the peace is ready to return to the children of Sol, perhaps that is when the Golden Kingdom will once again be the center of the Third Planet, its empty gardens once again filled with the warmth of its caretakers and the golden throne once again holding its ruling body.
~~~~~*~~~~~
The Story of Elysion and the Golden Kingdom (history):
Elysion was the land of the Golden Kingdom of the Guardian of Earth, once known as Prince Endymion. As legend tells, it is the land of Elysion that protected the Earth both from within and from without. Indeed possible, Elysion existed on two realms: the corporeal realm of Earth where the Golden Kingdom reigned over the land and its people, and the Elysion Fields on the Spiritual Plane of existence that lived along, but out of phase with the Earth, like a second dimension that reaches into the actual soul of the planet.
The only way to reach the Elysion Fields and cross over into the Spiritual Plane is through the Temple of Promise, the central temple within the Golden Kingdom. Only the High Priest/Priestess of Elysion and a selected pair of Temple Maidens (known as the maenads) who dedicate their lives to the care of the Temple and the balance between Elysion, Earth and its Ruling Body are allowed to access this Temple. However, most of the responsibility is left in the hands of the High Priest/Priestess whose power comes from, and is conjured by, their prayers and the cleansing power of Elysian itself. Only under extreme circumstances will the High Priest/ess call for the aid of the Ruling Body to protect the Temple and the spiritual lands of Elysion. The Ruling Body only need otherwise attend the Temple on Holy Days or for the blessings of their High Priest/ess.
The last time the corporeal Golden Kingdom was seen was when Prince Endymion sat upon the golden throne during the time of the Silver Millennium and the splendid Queen Serenity. When Beryl's forces attacked and the Prince was said to be lost to the armies of evil that were now upon the doors of the Golden Kingdom, the Priest of Elysion knew the time had come to take drastic action. Not wanting their kingdom to be lost, which would leave the soul of Earth vulnerable to entire destruction, he, along with the maenads, called upon ancient magics to hide their city upon the spiritual plane of Elysion. In the process of such a powerful invocation, the great act took the lives of the maenads, the amount of energy needed for such a move leaving their physical bodies virtually moribund. This left the protection of Elysion, the Golden Crystal and the Kingdom in the hands of the High Guardian Priest Helios. The City, the People and the Life of the Kingdom was essentially put into suspension, into a spell of stasis, until the King can be found again to renew life in the city.
Unfortunately, the evil of Beryl was not completely eluded. A taint, a poisonous curse went with the city and infected the people. Over the course of Time, the contamination slowly ate away at the souls of the people and the kingdom left in stasis upon the Elysian Fields. Killing many still slumbering within the golden walls, the powerful prayers of the Priest were not enough to successfully stop such a foul contamination. Such peril was only greatened by the black blight cast over Earth and Elysian with the presence of the Black Moon Circus and the ‘reign’ of Nerehenia. When Helios went to the reborn Earth Prince and Moon Princess of the 20th century, the stain was forever lifted and salvation was gifted to the weakened, threatened Earth and Elysian Fields. Though the curse was lifted, the state of stasis the land slept in was preserved, as well as many of the sleeping lives that were saved by the powers of the Silver and Golden Crystals.
Over the course of Time leading up to the 30th century and the reign of Neo-Queen Serenity and Kingdom Endymion, the Guardian Priest Helios tended to the Elysian Fields and filled the Earth and Elysian with powerful prayers of protection and preservation. When the reign of Crystal Tokyo came to be, the powers of Usagi as Neo-Queen Serenity and Mamoru as King Endymion, the Silver and Golden Crystals' combined powers were enough to mend the slumbering city so that the inner land of Elysian could survive with its renewed, protective action.
When Neo-Queen Serenity and King Endymion established Crystal Tokyo upon the Earth proper in the 30th Century, it acted as almost a bridge between the Moon Kingdom and the Golden Kingdom, allowing the hibernating and phased out city to receive the magic from Crystal Tokyo almost by proximity. Nonetheless, Endymion and Helios were not able to return the Golden Kingdom to the corporeal side of Earth, and as such, the actual known location of the inner and outer Elysion Lands are far lost to the memories of man.
The rejuvenating powers of the Moon kept the city from decaying as long as Crystal Tokyo stood. After the fall of the city, and after the Moon Queen became only a story lost to history and myth, the Golden Kingdom once again began to decay from a new, extended period of stasis, with a lack of bodies to care for it, and the absence of its Ruling Body to wield the Golden Crystal, the life of Elysion and Earth.
Every generation since the death of Helios, a High Priest/ess is born with the ability to find and access the lost Temple of Promise, to carry the Golden Crystal and to recognize their King, the one who will bring the Kingdom home and raise it anew, if ever he is born again. Many times are these Priests unable to know any of such history, and thus go their whole lives without feeling or suspecting anything. Some times, once in a great many years, one is born who sees this very real past in dreams, and walks about the Earth with their eyes open for some sort of sign. What this sign may be remains unknown, but they interiorly know they will recognize it when they see it.
That paired with her tendency to leave situations she is weary of sometimes makes her come across as a bit aloof to others. Rory is really just a very independent, strong-willed, spontaneous and fiery teenager who prefers to take care of herself rather than be disappointed by others. Once she has an objective in mind and figures out what she wants for herself, Rory will put all her energy, ambition and creativeness into getting it (this accounts for her easily walking away from situations she doesn’t like, and thus all the times she has run away). Aurore is at her best when performing; she is most extrovert, self-confident, positive and self-controlled when on stage. She adores the physical exertion, the energy-rush from the audience, the dominance over the stage and the attention received. This is the one place in the entire world where she is sure she is not to be rejected; the entire circus crew works hard and trains so as to always, always, always please their spectators.
Self Perception: Aurora knows she is ‘not your average girl’, and as a result can be really self-conscious (thus observant of her surroundings). She just tries to get through each day as best as possible, and for right now has found a stable setting with the Spade Phantasy. She nevertheless has a lot to be proud of: her independent nature, her different experiences with so many foster families, her uniqueness, her circus talents and act and all the places she has been to thanks to traveling on the Spade.
Mannerisms: When speaking, Aurora always tries to use new words she’s heard used, but she unfortunately can get some of the longer, more complicated ones mixed up without realizing it. Otherwise, she has a simplistic way of speaking and uses a lot of onomatopoeias (ugh, er, mm, etc.) Non-verbal communication also is a good indicator of how she feels.
Pet Peeves: People knocking into her because they aren’t fully away of her presence (due to her height, yes), people not believing her age (she REALLY is 17 years old!)
Hobbies: Exploring the new docking ports each time the Spade Phantasy makes to land. Buying books and doing her best to raise her reading and vocabulary level. She still personally enjoys being with the animals on the ship, and so she still continues to clean their cages, groom them, feed them, etc. Scaling tall objects (she loves the masts of the ship).
Habits: Sleeping in the crow's nest on warm/hot nights in order to gaze up at the moon and stars. Also, Aurora has made it a nearly unconscious goal to steal at least one item from each city visited.
Family: Biologically N/A, but she is happy with the family ~she~ has adopted on the Spade Phantasy. A few special people are to be noted:
Captain Astraeus – his age is unknown though it is rumored that Astraeus is as old as the sea, or so it seems like it with all the traveling he has done and the knowledge he has acquired. Large and imposing to those who don’t know him, the Captain is essentially a teddy-bear of a man with his crew. He always gets what he wants when docking up to a new port, the safety and well being of the ship and crew alike his utmost priority. Intelligent, sly, observant and Master of the ship, Astraeus knows the globe like the back of his hand, having sailed the 7 seas ever since he can remember. No one on board really knows where he comes from, but everyone is secure in the fact that they are well taken care of. Having proven what he is worth time and time again, all the crew would sail through Hell’s fire if the Cap’ said to. For all the crew, home is where the Capt’n and his Ladies (Rosalinda and the Spade) are.
Rosalinda – As Captain Astraeus’ wife, Rosalinda is the ‘leading lady’ of the ship and more like a mother than anything to the crew. She is a boisterous albeit graceful woman who is full of generosity and kindness. Thick-boned and voluptuous, she appears to be a very fashionable and ‘well-kept’ 50 year-old woman but, much like her husband, her age is unknown. It is said that they have been together as long as the Cap has been sailing the 7 seas – and Rosalinda is considered the ‘eighth’ sea because Astraeus loves her just as much as, and maybe even more than, the seas he sails. She can be usually found in the kitchen, though decisions as to where the Spade docks are always made together with her husband (even if the crew is not necessarily aware of how vital a role Rosalinda plays). Much like her husband, the couple has solid knowledge and talent in circus affaires and sailing.
Alizé – 18 years of age and known as ‘Trade Wind’ while on stage, she is one of the three ‘cherubs’ that perform together. On stage, she works with knife throwing and animal taming. She is the tallest out of the trio, standing at 5'7", and definitely the most femininely developed. She has large plush breasts, a good set of hips and an even better pair of buns. She is voluminous yet nicely toned with lean muscles, which helps give her a feminine appeal while keeping her from looking chunky or overweight. Her collar-bone length red hair is usually pulled up into a half-pony tail, with her side bangs either pined back or falling to her left. A pair of golden-brown eyes outsets her hair and naturally lightly 'tanned' skin tone. Her style of clothing is mostly conservative, due to her already eye-catching form, but Alizé can be seen wearing most anything. However, she usually prefers a pair of jeans or baggy-like pants when not performing. Though her style is similar to Elina's, she is definitely more glamorous than her younger 'sister'.
Elina – 16 years of age and known as ‘Torch Light’ while on stage, she is equally one of the three ‘cherubs’. On stage, she assures a 'Fire and Glow' act and a balancing act. At 5'5", Elina has a slender frame with nice developing curves. She has deep blue eyes and matching brilliant blue locks that fall down to the end of her shoulder-blades. A set of bangs helps to frame her face of naturally wavy hair that she usually wears down when not performing. Due to the fact she usually 'plays' with fire while on stage, her blue locks are always done-up in some sort of fancy up-do with hair-decorations that help catch the light from the flames she works with. As for clothing, she favors colors that help set-off her dominant blue hair, thus everything that is black, gray, and white. Nothing prevents her, however, from wearing all the other colors of the rainbow. She likes mixing and matching and usually wears layers. Her style, however, is more-so 'tomboyish', Elina favoring baggy, comfortable pants - she is usually never caught wearing anything tight below the waist, and very rarely anything skirt or dress-like. Above the waist, however, she does not mind tight-fitting clothing that show off her curves. Accessory wise, she favors bracelets.
Residence: the “Spade Phantasy”, the circus sailing ship. Counts about a 100 members of various ages, various skills and various educated levels.
Occupation: circus member of the Spade Phantasy, performer in the “Tender, Lovin' Cherubs” act along with Alizé and Elina, commonly refered to as the "TLC Trio". On stage, Aurea is known as ‘Golden Breath’.
Social Status: When docking in a new port, Aurore has no personal social status to speak of. Though the Spade Phantasy and its Captain might be known of through rumor, (following their mostly-liked performances) Aurora is essentially meshed in with such ‘notoriety’, along with all the other members. Rumors could detail anything from the impressive-looking, nomadic circus ship to the crazy shows assured on-board.
Income: food, shelter and traveling rights with the Spade. She has whatever the Spade has + whatever she steals.
Established Connections: N/A
Talents: acrobatics, good sense of direction, swimming (as a result of being on a ship, naturally), scaling any kinds of tall objects
Strengths: good balance, great physical condition & endurance, little body that is great for slipping/sneaking around with ease, learns rapidly, pretty easy-going, a seemingly inexhaustible amount of energy, lots of motivation to learn all that she can and perfection her circus talents, is essentially optimistic about life, generous when performing and with people she loves and appreciates, her natural beauty and innocent flare, easily adapts to the different kinds of situations she finds herself in.
Weaknesses: fear of abandonment, her literary level (reading, writing, vocabulary) is lower than that of a 17 year old, her aloof and sometimes guarded nature (gives wrong impressions, sometimes causes her to miss out on partaking in interesting occasions and/or meeting interesting people), her self-consciousness can sometimes be crippling for her, her height and innocent features cause people to constantly think she is much younger than her real age.
Appearance-
Height: 4'10”
Weight: 100 lbs (all muscle)
Hair & Eyes: She has periwinkle-colored locks that fall to the top of her shoulders and a neat set of bangs that she does pretty much anything she wants with. Her hairstyle is rather easy to work with, Aurora leaving her locks either straight with their soft, natural curls, throwing them up in clips or ponytails or pigtails, or just messing them up for a flattering ‘mussed’ look. Finally, royal purple hues set off her lighter locks.
Body Type: Unusually small, Aurora is nevertheless lean and fit. She is all the more sculpted due to her circus days and has some nicely developing curves to her figure.
Dress Style: Considering she her ‘nomadic’ lifestyle, Aurea basically wears whatever she can get her hands on and sticks to the garments she has in her possession as long as their 'lifespan' determines. Oddly enough, despite all her country-crossing between orphanages and foster families and nature-roaming, Aurea takes extremely good care of her possessions and is extremely careful with every move she makes, making it so that her clothes usually stay in wondrous conditions for unusually long periods of time. While all the children had basic, drab and bland clothes in the orphanages, she usually was given clothing gifts by her various foster families. Picking and taking what she liked, Aurore would always runaway with her choice pieces. However, when a piece of her 'wardrobe' is put to the grave, she more often than not steals from the environment around her, be it a clothes line or an unlocked house. However, since she has been with the Spade Phantasy, she has been well taken care of and clothing has been given to her by way of gift. She still has that odd little tick of stealing because it helps reaffirm her independent spirit (and Aure secretly likes the rush of it).
Noticeable Scars or Marks: She has a pretty pristine body. However, once awakened, her glyphs (see ‘symbol’ in the ‘Solider’ section of the profile) will be noticeable, as described, at all times.
General Description:
Character-
Biography: Abandoned at birth in Canberra, Australia, Aurora lived a tumultuous childhood of skipping between orphanages, foster families and the streets. All she knows of her birth parents are their names, origins and a brief background to her abandonment.
Her mother, Cyrah, and her father, Ishaan, both come from the Sun. Apparently young, (around 17 and 18 years of age) the newly wed Kiyomi couple had eloped to Earth in-order to hide their very real pregnancy from both sides of the family. Mission accomplished, because with the deposal of Aurora in the orphanage, the nevertheless heartbroken couple made the return trip to their home, not a word more ever heard of Cyrah and Ishaan Kiyomi.
Fiery and independent, Aurora has never been able to let go of her birth name, Aurora Kiyomi. It is the only link she has to ‘who she is’, and thus has had a hard time merging into foster families. Her abandonment is a touchy issue with her, Aurore all at once afraid of getting too close to people for fear of being let down, rejected and cast aside (a bit like her birth parents). Paired to such a fear, she has taken on an independent, courageous, strong-willed personality to take care of things on her own terms. Numerous times ever since a very young age (around 7 years old), Aurore has taken to running away from the orphanages and foster families she has found herself in. Due to her light purple locks, brilliant purple eyes and deeply ‘tanned’ skin that has an unnatural golden shine to it, she stands out and has acquired unflattering nicknames from teasing children around her : cotton-candy head, sun urchin (a play on words from purple sea urchins), and jelly-jam face (jelly-jam for short).
Though she has crossed paths with loving, willing foster parents, Aurore cannot stand the idea of being chosen from a plethora of orphans by foster parents who know nothing about her yet want to take her into their home. Though she has tried numerous times to be a ‘good foster daughter’, her rebellious gut-instinct has always led to her runaways.
Making her way on the streets and in the wild has never been an issue for Aure, the child fascinated by nature, small and thus capable of going about mostly unseen (which works in favor of stealing and stowing away in barns and cabins and cars and the like), and is naturally defensive and defiant (thus usually decides to flee rather than fight!). Though she has encountered hardships and skirmishes, she has always been caught, one way or another, and plopped back into an orphanage of some sort. As a result, she has never remained more than 3 months at a time on the streets. Numerous times, though, she has been sent to different orphanages and foster families all along the east cost of Australia.
On a particular day in Brisbane, at 14 years of age, Aurore and her at-the-moment foster parents had taken her out for a stroll in the city and a circus performance from an over-the-seas circus team that sailed from port to port by ship. Immediately captivated and awed by the spectacle, Aurora had the spontaneous impulsion to go join the Spade Phantasy circus crew. In a convenient hoard of exiting people at the end of the show, Aurea cleverly slipped away from her foster parents and some how managed her way upon the ship as a stowaway.
“Where do you come from? Who do you belong to?”
“I come from no where and everywhere at the same time! I belong to nothing yet to everything all at once!” Aurora courageously bellowed back to the large, imposing captain once she had been found.
Such conversation did not last long, punishment inflicted by the Captain on the stowaway - Aure was stripped of everything she had (which was little), scrubbed clean and dressed up as a clown, literally, before condemned to be cage-cleaner. Mistrust heightened, anger bubbling but being reduced and forced to obey, Aurea passively and spitefully assumed the task given to her. Eventually, though, the situation turned into a sort-of blessing for the adolescent. Far from intimidated by the animals for whom she cleaned cages, she naturally warmed up to their docile nature and, in the end, was far from disturbed by the arrangement. Though she was once a week ‘brutally’ stripped, washed and repainted/dressed-up as a clown (each time different and increasingly wild than the last), she eventually accepted such a treatment, due to the fact she was ~at least~ fed and sheltered in return. But no lasting upset or hatred endured for either sides, Aurora eventually accepted as 'one of their own' by the circus crew.
Considering her behavior with the animals (monkeys, birds, horses, snakes, and tigers) and non-existent fear of heights, Aurea rapidly fit in with the animal tamers and acrobats, serving as prop-girl in addition to assuring her cage-cleaner role along the Spade Phantasy's journey, continually earning her way to food and shelter (upgraded from bread and water to pasta, fruits and milk). After six months of regular observation, she knew by heart the different types of circus arts, being of service whenever demanded and acting as assistant, eventually gaining certain types of skills (small magic arts, balancing talents, basic juggling feats, tight-rope walking...etc). With consistent observation and night-time practices, it took Aurea two more years to finally merit her own act, that of Acrobatic Stunts and Ariel Ballet. However, she now takes part in a spectacle newly compiled together in which she shares the stage and succession of acts with her partners in the "Tender, Lovin' Cherubs" act.
Education: Due to her tumultuous childhood, Aurora never had the privilege of following a steady, educational rhythm. She knows how to read and write, but her level is not that of a 17 year old. She does not have a wide vocabulary and thus is apt to confuse and mix-up words despite her motivation to learn. On the Spade, basic classes are assured for all those who wish to follow, (reading & writing, history of Earth and the Sol System, basic math, and sciences pertaining to the land and seas).
Beliefs: Essentially N/A. She has never been taught or has learned of any spiritual directions, but she does have a high respect for Mother Nature and her creatures.
Goals: Aurora aspires to live her life to the fullest without ever questioning the past or having regrets. Education-wise, she loves to learn and has a dream of going to school.
Favorite Food: roasted rainbow trout with grilled peppers, mushrooms and onions, rum (naturally ;3), open fire burnt marshmallows
Favorite Activity: scaling any and all tall objects, be it trees, ship masts, walls...etc. She also really loves to swim!
Favorite Memory: When she first met Rosalinda - after Aure had been first discovered, scrubbed clean, dressed up and 'thrown to the animals', Rosalinda had 'snuck' back to meet the stowaway face to face after her husband had recounted his discovery of Aure. Instead of being reprimanded, though, Rosalinda welcomed the girl with a large, warm, busty hug and talked with her for a full duration of cage-cleaning while advising Aurora on how to clean the animal cages without upsetting the animals. Aure felt more at home than she had ever felt in her entire life - Rosalinda really was a perfect mother figure.
Other~
Zodiac Sign: Leo
Theme Song When Performing On Stage: “Circus” by Britney Spears
The Senshi/Knight (if applicable)-
Identity: Priestess of Elysian
Element: Holy/Light (her power comes from prayer and the cleansing power of Elysian itself).
Gemstone: Golden Amber
Symbol: a Pegasus as shown below. After Aurora becomes first acquainted with her Priestess role, the outline of the Pegasus will appear upon her inner wrists (one for each wrist), both Pegasus’ facing her though one will be right side up (right wrist) and one will be upside down (left wrist). The outline will be a sort of golden, shinning lining, noticeable against her tanned skin. When she transforms and is in Priestess state, the symbols become infused with golden color and thus are more prominently seen.
Transformation Sequence (long): Aurora drops down to her right knee and presses her hands together, whispering a prayer 'into' her hands. Her once closed eyes reopen and her right hand moves up to her left temple before making a diagonal slashing motion that brings her hand down to her left and near to the ground. A shimmering stream of golden light is streaked in the air by such a motion. “Elysian Illumination!” is shouted and a burst of wind and light comes up in a circle around Aurora. Her normal dress is blown away in pieces from her form (like flower petals scattered in the wind) and, in a brilliant, shimmering flash that blinds all onlookers, her Priestess form is left in place.
Transformation Sequence (short): "Elysian - ILLUMINATE!" A burst of wind impales her form and her normal dress is blown away in pieces (like flower petals scattered in the wind). Her body is instantly adorned in her Priestess form while the pieces of her clothing glow golden and flutter to the ground.
Transformation Item: An uniquely shaped pendant composed of a cluster of golden amber gemstones lined in silver. Able to slip it on either a silver chain or a soft ribbon, Aurora is apt to wearing it either as a necklace, a bracelet or a hair ribbon. The pendant is shaped as follows:
Weapon (if applicable): N/A
Abilities/Attacks (in order of appearance):
Pegasus Form: is as natural and normal as her human form, thus, the transformation itself does not require any special amount of energy nor is energy-sapping in any shape or form. The transformation can be initiated at any instant when in Priestess form, with merely the inner desire/decision of Aurora. While in Pegasus form, she can :
- fly
- attack by way of her horn, either in the air or upon the ground, with a single form of attack : a large beam of blinding, burning, powerful holy light is shot at the target, of which the power and impact grows with her own evolution
- tackle, pound, crumple an enemy
- temporarily power-up an ally if/when called upon* power-up in the sense that for a one-time shot during battle, Pegasus will lend some of her power to a senshi for the duration of one attack, said attack now having double the power
- partially heal an ally if/when called up*
- carry up to 2 allies
* Once the senshi and knights are awakened and form an established team, a point in the arc will come when Aurora gives the entire team access to the "Promise Chime". As such, each senshi/knight will have the power to call upon the "Promise Chime" by silently summoning this item by inner will. The Promise Chime allows the Senshi/Knight holding it to pray and ring out for Pegasus. In either case, each prayer can only be used once per battle.
- To call upon Pegasus for a one-shot-attack power-up, "Prayer for Tonic" is to be called out.
- To call upon Pegasus for healing, "Prayer for Recovery" is to be called.
Priestess Form:
1 *Flush of Light – a strong beam of light is launched at the target; probably something equivalent in effect and power of canon Venus’ Crescent Beam Smash.
2 *Burst of Light - Launches a volley of holy light at the target; probably something equivalent in effect and power of canon Venus’ Crescent Beam Showering.
3 *Caster’s Shield – concocts a shield of holy, protective forces; able to protect one other person at start and will max out at a total of five. The larger the shield, the more energy-sapping and penalizing it is for Aurora.
4 *Sparks and Storms – Aurora conjures up a ‘storm’ of sharp sparks that rains down on the enemy target's head.
5 *Holy Kindling – Aurora calls forth an orb of light that is launched upon the target and consumes it in holy ‘flames of light’.
6 *Purity Nova - Causes an explosion of holy light around Aurora, causing holy damage to all enemy targets within a radius of 10 yards while healing all allied members within the same radius of 10 yards. This strongly pulls on Aurora’s energy level and requires one full ‘recuperation’ post after the initial casting before she will begin re-harvesting power in order to cast new attacks.
7 * Golden Wish Salvation – An ability that is only used in the most dyer of conditions when a safe haven is absolutely needed for the Senshi and Knights. By being allowed to mix her own power with borrowed energies she harvests from Udara, Aurora is able to initiate a ‘grandiose’ teleportation of the Senshi and Knights to the Spiritual Lands of the Elysian Fields. Once in such a sacred place, her allies are thus allowed to recuperate, regroup and strategize before returning to the corporal world to continue the fight. Besides penalizing Udara for having contributed some of her energy to such an ability, Aurora will go into a deep state of sleep for a full seven days once she returns the Senshi and Knights to the surface of Earth.
Fuku-
Description: A red, tear-drop shaped bead appears in the middle of her forehead and a golden horn takes its rightful place upon the crown of her head. Silver hoop earrings with a dangling crystal a piece decorate her earlobes whereas her throat is adorned with two silver chokers, the second one holding her transformation item.
Her actual uniform is a cross between the Zodiac Knight Uniforms and the Priest Robes of canon Helios.
The upper half is in the same fashion as what Priest Helios is wearing in the picture below.
Imagine as though the upper half is form fitting and 'tucks into' the bottom half, of which starts from the belt and is in the same fashoin as the woman's Zodiac Knight Uniform.
Color Palette: White, Navy Blue and Sea Blue
Why did you choose this palette: White is a pure base that helps reinforce her Priestess form, the power of her prayers and the Holy/Light element she works with. The blues link her to the waters of Earth, the fact that Earth is nicknamed as the "Blue Planet", and the colors found in Earth's Uniform.
The Planet: Earth, the land of Elysian
This description does not deal with the planet Earth, itself. For such details, one must refer to the profile for the Senshi of Earth.
Legend of the Golden Kingdom (Myth):
It is said that the Golden Kingdom of Elysian still exists and that its keepers lay silently in wait for the day the Kingdom will be awakened and its golden people will once again tarry to and fro, busy in their lives of keeping peace and order on the third planet of Sol. It is said that the Priest/ess of Elysian is born once a generation, waiting secretly for the King to come. Sometimes they do not even know what it is that they are destined to protect, but you can always tell the Elysian Priests by their kind hearts, warm beings, and golden souls.
It is said that Elysian was once a kingdom of Health, Purity and Guidance, a mirror and complement to the Silver Millennium with its Temple of Promise as the central place of worship and blessing. Once upon a time, the two kingdoms existed upon the same plane, working together in tandem to keep peace and love alive in the System of Sol, and to fill its people with understanding, compassion and inner beauty.
It is said that Elysium was razed to the ground with the fall of the Silver Moon Kingdom. As the people of Earth burned, their bodies lay slain upon the rolling hillside unable to fight to defend themselves, news of the Earthen Prince's fall reached the ears of the Priest within the golden walls of the kingdom. There was no one left to protect the Earth, and the peace that lasted a thousand years under the rule of Serenity was shattered by a blackened greed so great that no love or kindness, or weapon of light, could stand up to it. With the war now upon their door, there was only one thing left to do as the ground shook beneath their feet.
Hide the city.
The magic that was once conjured so long ago is so ancient that Time has forgotten their birth took the lives of these golden people. A sacrifice so great and so desperate, but so worth the cost to keep the kingdom out of the grasp of such a wicked, wicked hate. Any scientist will tell you the theory of parallel universes, of dimensions and realms, but they have yet to prove it. Perhaps the kingdom lives upon another plane of existence where the vibrations of protons and electrons are different and out of phase with our own; hidden in plain sight though we are unable to see it. Hyperbola, maybe, where they would be safe among the Ethereal until it was time to return.
Perhaps, when the Golden Crystal is found and the song is sung to open the gates and the Keeper is found who knows the way to bring the Ruler home to their people, perhaps then the return of the kingdom shall come. Perhaps that is when the corporeal will walk the gardens to the other side and lead the unseen home again. When the Night and the Day lay side by side, and the peace is ready to return to the children of Sol, perhaps that is when the Golden Kingdom will once again be the center of the Third Planet, its empty gardens once again filled with the warmth of its caretakers and the golden throne once again holding its ruling body.
~~~~~*~~~~~
The Story of Elysion and the Golden Kingdom (history):
Elysion was the land of the Golden Kingdom of the Guardian of Earth, once known as Prince Endymion. As legend tells, it is the land of Elysion that protected the Earth both from within and from without. Indeed possible, Elysion existed on two realms: the corporeal realm of Earth where the Golden Kingdom reigned over the land and its people, and the Elysion Fields on the Spiritual Plane of existence that lived along, but out of phase with the Earth, like a second dimension that reaches into the actual soul of the planet.
The only way to reach the Elysion Fields and cross over into the Spiritual Plane is through the Temple of Promise, the central temple within the Golden Kingdom. Only the High Priest/Priestess of Elysion and a selected pair of Temple Maidens (known as the maenads) who dedicate their lives to the care of the Temple and the balance between Elysion, Earth and its Ruling Body are allowed to access this Temple. However, most of the responsibility is left in the hands of the High Priest/Priestess whose power comes from, and is conjured by, their prayers and the cleansing power of Elysian itself. Only under extreme circumstances will the High Priest/ess call for the aid of the Ruling Body to protect the Temple and the spiritual lands of Elysion. The Ruling Body only need otherwise attend the Temple on Holy Days or for the blessings of their High Priest/ess.
The last time the corporeal Golden Kingdom was seen was when Prince Endymion sat upon the golden throne during the time of the Silver Millennium and the splendid Queen Serenity. When Beryl's forces attacked and the Prince was said to be lost to the armies of evil that were now upon the doors of the Golden Kingdom, the Priest of Elysion knew the time had come to take drastic action. Not wanting their kingdom to be lost, which would leave the soul of Earth vulnerable to entire destruction, he, along with the maenads, called upon ancient magics to hide their city upon the spiritual plane of Elysion. In the process of such a powerful invocation, the great act took the lives of the maenads, the amount of energy needed for such a move leaving their physical bodies virtually moribund. This left the protection of Elysion, the Golden Crystal and the Kingdom in the hands of the High Guardian Priest Helios. The City, the People and the Life of the Kingdom was essentially put into suspension, into a spell of stasis, until the King can be found again to renew life in the city.
Unfortunately, the evil of Beryl was not completely eluded. A taint, a poisonous curse went with the city and infected the people. Over the course of Time, the contamination slowly ate away at the souls of the people and the kingdom left in stasis upon the Elysian Fields. Killing many still slumbering within the golden walls, the powerful prayers of the Priest were not enough to successfully stop such a foul contamination. Such peril was only greatened by the black blight cast over Earth and Elysian with the presence of the Black Moon Circus and the ‘reign’ of Nerehenia. When Helios went to the reborn Earth Prince and Moon Princess of the 20th century, the stain was forever lifted and salvation was gifted to the weakened, threatened Earth and Elysian Fields. Though the curse was lifted, the state of stasis the land slept in was preserved, as well as many of the sleeping lives that were saved by the powers of the Silver and Golden Crystals.
Over the course of Time leading up to the 30th century and the reign of Neo-Queen Serenity and Kingdom Endymion, the Guardian Priest Helios tended to the Elysian Fields and filled the Earth and Elysian with powerful prayers of protection and preservation. When the reign of Crystal Tokyo came to be, the powers of Usagi as Neo-Queen Serenity and Mamoru as King Endymion, the Silver and Golden Crystals' combined powers were enough to mend the slumbering city so that the inner land of Elysian could survive with its renewed, protective action.
When Neo-Queen Serenity and King Endymion established Crystal Tokyo upon the Earth proper in the 30th Century, it acted as almost a bridge between the Moon Kingdom and the Golden Kingdom, allowing the hibernating and phased out city to receive the magic from Crystal Tokyo almost by proximity. Nonetheless, Endymion and Helios were not able to return the Golden Kingdom to the corporeal side of Earth, and as such, the actual known location of the inner and outer Elysion Lands are far lost to the memories of man.
The rejuvenating powers of the Moon kept the city from decaying as long as Crystal Tokyo stood. After the fall of the city, and after the Moon Queen became only a story lost to history and myth, the Golden Kingdom once again began to decay from a new, extended period of stasis, with a lack of bodies to care for it, and the absence of its Ruling Body to wield the Golden Crystal, the life of Elysion and Earth.
Every generation since the death of Helios, a High Priest/ess is born with the ability to find and access the lost Temple of Promise, to carry the Golden Crystal and to recognize their King, the one who will bring the Kingdom home and raise it anew, if ever he is born again. Many times are these Priests unable to know any of such history, and thus go their whole lives without feeling or suspecting anything. Some times, once in a great many years, one is born who sees this very real past in dreams, and walks about the Earth with their eyes open for some sort of sign. What this sign may be remains unknown, but they interiorly know they will recognize it when they see it.
