Name: Doctor Maso Dunia, PhD
Age & Birthdate: 53 years, May 2nd
Personality: He is a very brilliant man who talks miles above most. Maso's life has been dedicated to academics and running the school in Chennai, bringing in a wide array of faculty who teach everything from science to mythology, math to religion, history to healing. His school is like his brain-child, his students are his wealth, and the respect he has in the community and in academia mean little to nothing to him. He doesn't do it for the recognition, he does it for the love of knowledge. Maso is a strict professor who has little patience for screwing around, but has an interesting connection with his students based on his love for the unknown. He can entertain any theory, see any view point, and will be the first to argue a ridiculous idea in defense of his students before a critic with no imagination. Just because you can't imagine it doesn't mean it can't exist!
Mannerisms: He does not express feelings too horribly well, though he can easily give praise to those who deserve it. Often he can be found walking about the grounds, hands deep in his pockets while looking fairly aloof. Dr. Dunia is not aloof, he just has a very busy mind. And usually his pockets hold some sort of candy. He has a tendency to be very sharp tongued, quick witted and scathingly sarcastic. When excited, he takes on the air of a "kooky" kind of old man. (Think Walter from "Fringe" meets Gene Wilder's Dr. Frankenstein from "Young Frankenstein", now there's an awesome combination!)
Pet Peeves: Wasted time, disruptions, ignorance, licorice.
Hobbies: Studying, "popping in" on the classes of his faculty, chatting with the student body, smoking his pipe while strolling about.
Habits: He purses his lips and looks scrutinizingly at the person speaking to him out of habit. He constantly adjusts his glasses while deep in thought.
Family: Wife - Hana, Daughter - Udara
Residence: Maso owns a large house in Chennai near the school.
Social Status: Well off, and well renowned in academia as the Dean of the school, both on Earth and through various scattered contacts. His closest contacts are the upper echelons of Athens University and Dr. Juro Saipere in UCLAs.
Occupation: Dean of Madras University, Professor of Theology and Philosophy.
Income: High

Gene Wilder in "Young Frankenstein" only darker of skin.
CHARACTER
Biography: A tough teacher, he is still a caring one, an understanding one, and still shares the same passion for new knowledge as his students do. Which was why he was the perfect choice for Dean of Madras University. An Athens graduate, Maso presents with a career of academics and the pursuit of knowledge having spent much of his younger years "on the field" doing research in Theology, Philosophy, Archeology and touching on Religions and Culture in the field of Healing. Learning the stories of "past mistakes" by man has given him a unique approach to teaching his students to pay attention to the past 'as history is cyclical'.
Maso met Hana, a beautiful phillipeno-esque woman born on Venus, at UCLAs where his long time cohort Juro Saipere was tenured. Deeply attracted to her love for religion and the mythologies behind it he found that he could never run out of things to talk to her about, her passion for knowledge shared and her love to educate enthralled him. They married that year and Maso returned to Chennai to teach at the home school he started at before being recruited to Athens his second year in. The Dean was more then happy to have him back and quickly gave him a schedule, giving him a home within the school's walls.
The birth of his daughter was celebrated, and she was quickly submerged into the life of a scholar. Being naturally curious like her parents Maso provided her with the best opportunities to satisfy her curious mind, only to find that it was never enough. It only made him more proud. He did his best to give her every resource available, though growing up in a University was a lonely existence for one so young. She seemed fairly resistant to the heartache of the comings and goings of new "friends", and when he took Dean after her 10th birthday he tried to be a little more available to her. Yet, the life of a Dean is anything but available.
Dr. Dunia was thrilled when his long time associate on Neptune, Satoshi Meiyahima, contacted him about sending his son Ruo, and his daughter Mami-Rin would be soon to follow, to school knowing that his education would be well taken care of under Maso's guidance. The professor personally met both at the port when they arrived and gave them tours of the school. Though Ruo was recalled Mami stayed and both Maso and Hana have grown a special fondness towards the girl, "adopting" her into their family while she is there for school and being quite pleased at the friendship she and Udara have created. Both parents are also aware of the feelings Udara has grown for the Neptunian Soldier, and Maso is sure to send the packages from her and Mami along the best shipping lines he can to ensure its arrival.
